Pinehurst Engagement Photography: Brittany and Alex

I recently had the pleasure of spending a beautiful late winter day photographing Brittany and Alex in the Pinehurst area.

This attractive pair will be getting married there this summer and we wanted to get some engagement photographs as they prepared for the big day. We first stopped at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities before moving over to the Pinehurst Resort.

I'm looking forward to returning to the Sandhillls to photograph their wedding.

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Meredith and Phillip

I enjoyed a beautiful spring afternoon photographing engagement images of Meredith and Phillip at The Duke Mansion and later at Romare Bearden Park in uptown Charlotte.

The wedding season is here and I'm looking forward to working with this pair again at their wedding in Salisbury later this year.

Check back soon for images from an upcoming Charlotte wedding.

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Camilla and Will

Unpredictable autumn weather made scheduling Camilla and Will's engagement photos a bit challenging, but we were treated to a wonderful fall day as we wandered around Davidson and Davidson College, Will's Alma Mater.

I'm looking forward to working with this fun couple again at their wedding next year in Blowing Rock.

Charlotte Family Portraits: Sarah, Ben and Family

One of the wonderful things we've enjoyed in running our photography business for more than a decade is the great people we've met along the way.

We first worked with Sarah and Ben at their wedding in 2006, and we've seen them at numerous other weddings over the years, including when we photographed Sarah's sister Katie's wedding.

So it was a pleasure working with them again as we did a family portrait session with their daughters Ellie and Kate.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your wonderful family!

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Abigail and Chris

After postponing Abigail and Chris' engagement session because of cold, rainy weather, we were rewarded with an amazing spring day and had a great time wandering around Charlotte.

Both are big Carolina Panther fans so we spent some time at the stadium and then took a walk around the city.

I'm looking forward to working with them again at their June wedding in Charlotte.

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Maggie and Todd

February weather in the Carolinas is often a bit of a roller coaster. And when we got a small snowstorm last week I was concerned about our Saturday engagement session for Maggie and Todd.

But, as if often the case in Charlotte, the weather rebounded nicely. And even though we still had a few small patches of snow on the ground, we were able to spend a very pleasant afternoon wandering around Uptown Charlotte.

This easy-going, attractive pair were great to work with and I even got an assist from Maggie's mother Debbie, who was nice enough to hold a photo reflector and keep track of things as we moved around downtown.

I'm looking forward to working with everyone again at the wedding in June!

Lake Norman Engagement Photography: Anne Marie and Joey

Persistence often pays off, and such was the case with Anne Marie and Joey's engagement photography session.

The attractive, athletic couple had wanted to do the shoot near Joey's native Mooresville.

Two previous shoots at Carrigan Farms were rained out. And between the packed calendar at Carrigan, and all of our busy schedules, it seemed almost impossible to set up.

A big thank you to Cortenay Matters of Carolina Wedding Design for her hard work scheduling all of the photo sessions. We finally went to Plan B and shifted to Jetton Park along Lake Norman in Cornelius, and we were rewarded with a spectacular evening with some amazing light. Thanks too to Casey Nelson of Dollface Skin & Makeup Lounge for her excellent work.

The shoot was so much fun and I'm really looking forward to working with Anne Marie and Joey again in September at their wedding in Banner Elk.

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Stephanie and Drew

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Drew following their engagement.

Stephanie is the daughter of my sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and Cliff. Our children have grown up together and I've had the pleasure of seeing her and her siblings grown into wonderful young adults. We have been very blessed to have such a close relationship to her family and we will be excited to share their joy at the wedding on the Carolina coast this fall.

Congratulations you two, it was a pleasure working with you and I'm looking forward to celebrating with you in October!

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Margaret Rose and Eric

The holiday weekend turned out to be quite eventful.

I cooked my first-ever turkey on the Thanksgiving and photographed an engagement session and some family portraits over the weekend.

Margaret Rose and Eric flew in from Chicago to share Thanksgiving with family and it worked out that we were able to schedule their engagement photos. They are such an attractive and personable couple and we had a great time wandering around Freedom Park.

I'm looking forward to working with them again when they return to Charlotte in April for their wedding.

It was a pleasure working with you two - stay warm up in Chicago!

Charlotte Engagement Photography: Jessica and Joel

It had all of the ingredients for a great photo shoot - an attractive, fun-loving couple, a beautiful setting, a stunning fall day and even a cooperative Yellow Lab named Howie.

Thanks so much for a great afternoon and best of luck Jess and Joel!
