Charlotte Wedding Photography: Isabelle and Stephen

Isabelle and Stephen married in a beautiful ceremony at Myers Park Presbyterian Church before heading to Myers Park Country Club to celebrate with family and friends.

Many thanks to Woozie Dell of Social Graces for all of her help and to the staff at Myers Park Country Club. And thank you to our company photographer Laura Mueller who was on hand to keep all of the angles covered.

The Blossom Shop did a beautiful job with the flowers and the reception included two incredible cakes. Kathy Allen Fine Cakes created the stunning wedding cake and Haines Barksdale of For Goodness Cakes made the groom's cake, an amazing homage to Uga, the mascot of Stephen's alma mater Georgia.

Congratulations to Isabelle and Stephen and their families!

Charlotte Wedding Photography: Winston and Trevor

Winston and Trevor married at on a beautiful June day at Christ Church and moved to Charlotte Country Club for a spectacular celebration.

It seemed beautiful flowers were everywhere in this colorful, joyous family celebration.

It was wonderful working with a talented team including the excellent staff at Charlotte Country Club,  Dina Berg Blazek Events, John Lupton Events, the Wow Factor cakes,  makeup artist Jamie Svay, Toni and Chris from Heart Stone Films,  and the incredible Party on the Moon, which had everyone dancing all night. Winston and her mother Ridgely did a wonderful job helping to coordinate everything.

A special thanks to my good friend Richard Israel, who brought his keen, artistic talents to our photo team, which included our apprentice photographer John Gomez.

It was such a pleasure working with this wonderful couple and their families!

Charlotte Wedding Photography: Ella and Blaine

Ella and Blaine first met as youngsters when they lived next door to each other and their families became close friends.

They reconnected years later after college, which led up to their beautiful wedding at Temple Beth-El and later a celebration at Providence Country Club.

Thank you to the fine staff at Providence Country Club and planner Chelsey Sanderson of Charlotte Fete for all of their excellent planning and work. Lily Greenthumbs provided the gorgeous flowers and the band The Men of Distinction got everyone dancing.

And Ella's father Yossi did an amazing job playing Hava Nagila on his accordion during the Hora.

Company photographer Laura Mueller and apprentice photographer John Gomez worked hard to make sure we had all of the angles covered.

Catherine and Creighton married at Christ Lutheran Church before heading to Charlotte City Club for a night of celebration.

They are both Carolina graduates, but one favors light blue and white and the other garnet and black. Both school mascots made an appearance at the reception and helped add to the party.

Many thanks to Libby Sarver of Details Wedding Planning, Shea Blackston for her beautiful makeup work and Nathan Hoffman and the terrific staff at the City Club.

Thank you again to company photographer Laura Mueller and apprentice photographer John Gomez for all of their excellent images.

Congratulations to Catherine and Creighton and their families!

Pinehurst Engagement Photography: Brittany and Alex

I recently had the pleasure of spending a beautiful late winter day photographing Brittany and Alex in the Pinehurst area.

This attractive pair will be getting married there this summer and we wanted to get some engagement photographs as they prepared for the big day. We first stopped at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities before moving over to the Pinehurst Resort.

I'm looking forward to returning to the Sandhillls to photograph their wedding.

Ballet Photography: Charlotte Ballet's Innovative Works 2017

Charlotte Ballet's Innovative Works is always an eclectic mix of movement and sound and this year's offering holds true to form.

The setting of the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance gives the audience a unique close-up look and sense of intimacy.

Choreographers Mark Diamond, Sasha Janes, David Ingram and dancer/choreographer Sarah Hayes Harkins all have works featured in this year's performances.
