Ballet Photography: Charlotte Ballet’s Little Mermaid

Charlotte Ballet‘s current offering dives into the underwater world of the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the Little Mermaid.

With choreography from Mark Diamond and new sets and costumes, the show shines both under the sea and on dry land.

Alessandra James (who alternates performances with Sarah Hayes Harkins) swimmingly brings the mermaid to life in this colorful, fun show.

After spending many years working as a newspaper photojournalist covering everything from hurricanes to athletes, presidents and celebrities, I decided to shift gears, go to work for myself, and focus on documenting some incredible weddings. We also do some corporate and editorial photography.
