North Carolina Dance Theatre is performing its finale of the season with two provocative pieces – “Dangerous Liaisons,” with choreography from Sasha Janes, and “Artifice” from renowned choreographer Dwight Rhoden.
Endings are always bittersweet, and this year is especially difficult as NCDT says goodbye to four wonderful dancers – Rebecca Carmazzi, Justin Van Weest, David Ingram and Alessandra Ball.
Rhoden’s work is always visual and stimulating, and Janes, a former NCDT dancer, delivers another feast for the senses that includes composer, cellist Ben Sollee suspended above the dancers.
