Christina and Brian live and work in Washington, D.C., but, with many family ties in the area, they chose the beautiful North Carolina mountain setting of Blowing Rock for their wedding.
Hurricane Irene was creating all kinds of problems along the Carolina coast but Blowing Rock escaped the storm with nothing more than some strong winds.
The historic Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church was the site for the service and we got another chance to work at the beautiful Blowing Rock Country Club, where we photographed a wedding last month.
The couple is involved in politics and United States Senator Richard Burr did a Bible reading at the service. Another nice touch, the incredible ice sculpture of the U.S. Capitol, where Brian made his marriage proposal.
The multi-talented Adam Coker gave me another excellent assist with the photography.
It was such a pleasure working with Christina and Brian and both of their wonderful families.
