My previous career was as a newspaper photojournalist, a profession that presented some amazing experiences and opportunities.
Aside from covering incredible people and events, it also allowed me to work with some great print journalists.
So it was an honor when one of my former colleagues at The Charlotte Observer asked me to photograph his daughter’s wedding.
I looked forward to working with Ken and his family and it didn’t hurt that the wedding was in the mountains in beautiful Blowing Rock, which is always a good 10 degrees cooler than Charlotte.
The ceremony took place at the Lakehouse at the Blowing Rock Country Club and the reception was in the nearby clubhouse.
