Jade and Jim had planned on an outdoor ceremony on the beautiful grounds of The Duke Mansion in Charlotte.
Chilly, rainy weather put a damper on those plans, but some quick action from the staff at the mansion and wonderful attitudes from all involved helped save the day.
The ceremony moved to the mansion’s front porch and we were able to use some of the many wonderful spots at the historic home for pictures.
Jade and Jim decided to see each other before the service and we did almost all of the group shots before the wedding. The couple was so relaxed and cooperative and Jade even got a pair of galoshes and some clear umbrellas so we could do some outside portraits.
Thanks to a great group of professionals involved in the day with a special thanks to Jessica Jonczak, Duke Mansion’s social gathering sales manager. Alan Daly of Crown Alley Films is always great to work with and Joey and Dennis from Split Second Sound helped create a fun party atmosphere at the reception. The overcast day was also brightened by the incredible, colorful flowers from The Flower Diva and the cake from Decadent Designs.
And talented photographer/videographer Adam Coker of Authentic Exposure gave me an excellent assist.
Thanks and congratulations to Jade and Jim and their families. They turned a rainy day into a ray of sunshine.
